  • "This is only my second time going to this dentist but I absolutely love them! I have been trying to find a dental clinic that I love in Sioux Falls-it took me almost 4 years, but I finally found my hidden gem! The people are always so nice and always willing to explain to you exactly what is going on. "

  • "I have yet to encounter a member of your staff that isn't smiling, helpful and friendly. I feel my exam and cleaning is very thorough and the dentists all seem very easy to talk to and take time to answer questions. I always have a great experience..for a dental visit anyway :)"

  • "I don't like going to the dentist but going to Great Plains Dental has changed my mind. The hygienist have been amazing and very gentle with cleaning my teeth. Everyone has been very welcoming and kind. They also did amazing with my twin 2 year old daughters. I was so nervous taking them, but they kept the girls entertained and comfortable during the exams. Dental Tips

  • If a tooth is knocked out, rinse with clean water and try to put it back in the socket. If it’s not possible to put the tooth back in the socket, you can store it in milk. Ideally the tooth needs to be put back into the socket within an hour.
  • What is calculus and what dangers does it pose to your oral health?
Calculus (also referred to as tartar) is a calcified, hardened form of dental plaque. When plaque and bacteria are left on your teeth for too long it begins to harden on the teeth and the result is calculus that can only be removed by your dentist or hygienist as it is too thick to remove with a simple tooth brush or floss.
